The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap model FST2035 is the new innovation in fire fighting and has been designed with simplicity in mind for both operation and maintenance.  The unit will provide a quick pre-mix of Fire Cap in the apparatus booster tank for Class A (1/4%), Class B (3%), and HAZMAT (1/4% or 3%) emergency situations.

The unit enables the firefighter to activate the system while enroute to the emergency by means of two (2) buttons located on the dash of the apparatus marked A (1/4%) (Class A type emergencies) and B (3%) (Class B type emergencies).  The Fire Cap fire suppression agent will then be pre-mixed upon arrival at the emergency scene. By allowing this to be done, if reports of trapped victims or the firefighters see smoke before arriving on the scene, the pre-mix of Fire Cap will have taken place thus reducing confusion once on the scene or forgetting to activate the system altogether. This will also help prevent wasting of the Fire Cap fire suppression agent during training in place of having it pre-mixed in the booster tank at all times.

Two (2) additional activation buttons will be located on the pump operator’s control panel of the apparatus marked A (1/4%) (Class A type emergencies) and B (3%) (Class B type emergencies). This will allow the pump operator to activate the Fire Cap fire suppression system once on the scene of an emergency for a pre-mix at any time. This will also allow the pump operator to pre-mix additional tanks of water as needed.

In addition to the two (2) activation buttons on the apparatus dash and the two (2) activation buttons on the pump operator’s control panel an indicator light will be provided on each switch panel to indicate the system has been activated.  The indicator lights will stay illuminated during the complete cycle to indicate the system has been activated and is operating.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap units are designed and preset for each apparatus to match the size of the booster tank water capacity to the proper amount of Fire Cap fire suppression agent required to pre-mix for both Class A (1/4%) and Class B (3%) type emergency situations. All the model FST2035 systems will be preset for Fire Cap Fire Suppression/Vapor Reduction Agent (other products will require customer to provide sample product, MSDS information and additional engineering costs).

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap units are preset to provide the correct amount of Fire Cap product to be pumped into the booster tank for a 1/4% pre-mix mixture when the A button has been activated and a 3% pre-mix mixture when the B button has been activated.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap units have been, again, designed for simplicity and safety for the following:

Operation for Class A type emergency situation (structure, vehicle, tires, wood, grass, hay, straw, paper, cardboard, cotton, etc.). Operator pushes the A (1/4%) button and the correct pre-set amount of Fire Cap fire suppression agent is pumped into the booster tank fill tower for a pre-mix.

Operation for Class B type emergency situation (gasoline, diesel, Jet A, JP4, JP5, JP8, crude oil, kerosene, tires, etc.). Operator pushes the B (3%) button and the correct pre-set amount of Fire Cap fire suppression agent is pumped into the booster tank fill tower for a pre-mix.

Eliminates the additional training that is required with conventional foam systems.

Eliminates the additional training that is required for the proper percentage settings for the type of fire suppression agent being used for the type of emergency situation.

Eliminates the additional training that is required for the proper amount of water being flowed for the proper percentage mixture.

Eliminates the additional control valve(s) that are required to be opened from the fire suppression agent holding tank.

Eliminates the additional control valve(s) that are required for the fire suppression agent to be educted into the water flow.

Eliminates the need for a 2nd fire suppression agent holding tank (A and B type tanks) and the wrong product being used for the emergency situation because, the unit is primarily designed to be used with the new Fire Cap multi-purpose fire suppression/vapor reduction agent. (Others will work.)

Eliminates the limited discharge lines usable with the pre-mixed fire suppression and vapor reduction agent (all lines including deck gun can flow the pre-mixed fire suppression agent).

Eliminates a proper flushing of the system after usage when the proper fire suppression agent is used (Fire Cap does not require any flushing because it is non-corrosive, non-toxic and non-hazardous).

Eliminates required maintenance of valves and metering devices.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap systems can be transferred from one apparatus to another.  Example:  If the unit is installed on an older apparatus and is replaced with a newer apparatus, the system can be easily transferred to the new apparatus.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap systems are easily installed on present apparatus or new apparatus.  The units are easily field-installed by your own personnel, apparatus service centers, or apparatus builders.  The units are available as a complete kit including a fire suppression agent holding tank or without the fire suppression holding tank, which can use a current tank, installed on the apparatus.

The following Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap model FST2035 complete kit is available:

Fire Cap kit FST2035 includes pump, 35 gallon reservoir tank, two (2) tank hold-down straps, 10’ of 1” hose, three (3) stainless steel hose clamps, booster tank fill tower fittings, four (4) activation buttons, two (2) indicator lights, two (2) A/B switch panel decals, two (2) drill templates, sealed electric control unit, wire harness, ten (10) wire ties, mounting bolts, nuts, washers, and installation instructions.

NOTE:  Tank size is 31” long x 20” wide x 15” high.  Because we custom install the fittings and pump, this tank can be mounted in any direction.  We also offer many different capacity and tank sizes to fit your needs.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap systems are also available in several optional kits without reservoir tanks for apparatuses that have existing foam tanks.  These kits will be engineered for your apparatus application and priced on application.

The Fire Suppression Products, Inc. Fire Cap systems are warranted for one (1) year from date of shipping.
