SUPER ST-1 VALVE LUBRICANT, TANK, and PLUMBING SAVER has been specially formulated to help prevent lime and other water impurities from building up on ball and seat assemblies. When valves are not operated on a regular basis, water impurities can attach to the valve assemblies making them difficult or impossible to operate. This may also cause the ball to cut the valve seat assembly causing leakage. This product also helps prevent rusting of steel booster tanks and rusting of pump plumbing.

When discharge, suction, relief and transfer valves operate improperly or not at all, this becomes a safety issue that could cause firefighter injury, loss of property, and loss of life.
The “SUPER ST-1” is simple to use. Pour one (1) gallon of “SUPER ST-1” into a 350 to 500 gallon booster tank. Engage the pump, open the tank fill valve, open the tank-to-pump valve, and circulate the “SUPER ST-1” with the apparatus engine at idle speed. Connect a hose from a discharge outlet back to the gated suction inlet on the pump and open and close the valve several times allowing the “SUPER ST-1” product to lubricate all sides of the ball and ball seat areas. Repeat this procedure using each discharge valve. With the tank fill partially open and the tank-to-pump valve all the way open, increase the engine speed to bring the pump pressure up against the relief valve setting and then raise and lower the relief valve pressure settings to allow the “SUPER ST-1” to lubricate the entire relief and pilot valve system.
The use of “SUPER ST-1” VALVE LUBRICANT on a regular basis will allow the suction and discharge valves to operate smoothly and easily as well as reduce the need for costly repairs to rebuild or replace them. This is also true for the relief valve and changeover valve systems.
